Welcome to the 80th, (yes 80th) season of Oklahoma
City Town Hall lecture series. The mission of
this enduring series is to provide lectures for
the educational and cultural enrichment of the
community. Subjects may relate to the fields of art,
drama, literature, music, national and international
issues. In summary, our mission for our subscribers is
to be enriched, enlightened and entertained. We hope
this will include you.
Our season begins in September with ABC News
Foreign Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz,
a Middle East expert. In October, we will host Dr.
Barry Asmus, a Senior Economist for the prestigious
National Center for Policy Analysis. In November,
former FBI Chief Hostage Negotiator, Clint Van
Zandt, will share some of the methods used in profiling
terrorists and others who threaten our way of life.
After a mid-winter break, Roland Mesnier will delight
and entertain us in February with behind the scene
stories during his 25 years as White House pastry chef.
In March, Dr. Jill Carroll, a scholar on world religions
will challenge us to consider how we can peacefully
coexist in our shrinking global world. Finishing out
our series for this season is one of Oklahoma City
Town Hall’s favorites --- Dr. Elliott Engel.
We are grateful for those of you who very generously
contribute to our Speakers Fund, helping to insure
speakers of the very highest quality.
Please return the subscription form on Renewal Day
--- April 18th --- and join us for an exciting 80th
season! I promise you will be enriched, enlightened
and entertained.
